Madelyn Rosemarie (Coll) Reilly, 89 of Indiana, died Monday, April 14, 2014 in the company of her children.

She was born February 20, 1925 in Monongahela, the daughter of the late John Coll and Bridget (Mulry) Coll. Madelyn was a graduate of the All Saints High School of Masontown.

She was the widow of James B. Reilly who died October 24, 2009. They had been married fifty-seven years.

Madelyn began her career as an office manager with United States Steel at Robena Mine in Southwestern Pennsylvania. She and her husband later moved to Washington, DC, where she worked at the corporate headquarters of United States Steel. Eventually they moved to Uniontown before moving to Indiana in 1968. In addition to raising seven children, Madelyn began a full-time career at IUP that spanned more than seventeen years with the Student Cooperative Association and the Graduate School. She also obtained her Pennsylvania Realtors license.

Her surviving children are: James B. Reilly, Jr.; John C. Reilly (Debra Spadafora); Madelyn A. Reilly (Dr. Robin Girdhar); Dr. Patrick G. Reilly (Lisa Cordelli); Maureen Reilly Bash; Michael J. Reilly and Bernard T. Reilly(Jayne Bish). Her grandchildren are: John, Bridget and Ryan Reilly; Kate Girdhar; Michelle and Sean Reilly; Brendan and Bridget Bash; Brittany and Cassandra Reilly; and two great grandchildren, Hannah Reilly and Townes Reilly Gaston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Margaret Malesky and Thomas B. Coll.

An incredibly strong and remarkable woman, deeply loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 19th from 2 – 6 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 21st at 10 AM at St. Thomas More University Parish of Indiana. Rev. Michael P. Sikon will serve as the celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
