I was saddened to hear of Madelyn's passing. I remember her just as she is in the picture and can see her in the kitchen preparing Sunday dinner which I always loved being invited to since I was a poor college student! Without her motivation and guidance I do not know if I would have stayed at IUP. When I was scared,nervous, and home sick,she encouraged me with her kind words. She even helped me schedule my classes! She and your whole family were an important part of my life since I got engaged at the graduation party your mom planned for me at your home! I remember all of it as if it were yesterday,and I wantd all of you to know what an inspiration your mom was to me, and how very proud I was to have known her. I will never forget her.
